Updates on Sewing Up My Fabric!

Since I originally posted my description of this blog, I have somewhat erred from my intention. I have actually bought much more fabric than I had but ................. in my defense, I got the solids at 50% off and the quilt shop fabric at 75% off, so that doesn't count, right? LOL

RSC15 Pinks - Nothing left but the crumbs!

All of the scraps have been reduced to precuts.

And now there is nothing left but the crumbs!

I plan to sew them into slabs of fabric for other projects.

Scrappy Rainbow Mountain Majesties
Now I have a blue row and a pink row. I am not yet sure what order I will sew these together.
I think I will wait until the end of the year and audition my layouts.

RSC15 Progress in Pinks

From this.............................
to this!

I managed to cut up most of the pink fabric in the under bed storage container. I got several FQs, 2-1/2", 5", 8-1/2" and 10" squares plus some 2-1/2" strips. You can see in the background that I have also managed to sew up some of the crumbs into fabric slabs.

Here is a pink scrappy heart to go with my blue scrappy heart from last month.

I also made these two sawtooth star blocks.

RSC15 - Pinks!

This is a picture of my sorted pinks that have been in an under bed storage container for several years now. Even though they are sorted, I rarely open this container. I can't wait to get these all cut up and sewn up! I guess I should also say that it wasn't under my bed. I already had other storage containers under there. This container was stacked 5 high with fabric scraps of other colors which is another reason I haven't used these. This container was third down the stack!

RSC15 - Moving on from the blues!

I spent one more weekend working on the blues before I move on. I was able to finally make a fabric scrap box from the Sunday Morning quilt book. The box makes up larger than I thought it would but it isn't big enough for all of my blue leftover scraps and crumbs. I hope to get back to them later this year.

I am hoping to make a Rainbow Scrappy Mountain Majesty (Bonnie Hunter's Pattern). I now have one row of blues and plan to make a row each month. We'll see how that goes!

Well..................it's time to put away the blues and move on to the pinks!
