RSC19 - January is RED!

RSC 10 Red Blocks

I started making strip blocks for the RSC19 "red" month and just kept making them! They were fun.  I decided to make two, one with green background and one with grey background.  I am sorry that the lighting is not good.  Maybe next month, I can do better with that.  The green will be 13 blocks wide and the grey will be 14 blocks wide.  I have so much red left still.

I also made some 8-1/2" crumb blocks.  I have to make three more.

The top two blocks are from where I left off with RSC15! Yep, life got in the way, but I am hoping to finish the blocks I need with this round of RSC colors. I am so glad that Angela has kept the instructions for the RSC15 on the website.

Also, back in 2015, I started a scrappy stars quilt but didn't get all of those colors done, so I am attempting that one as well.

I don't know when I started the Bottled Rainbows blocks but I am back on a roll and hope to continue with the RSC colors until  I have a quilt.

I am linking up with Angela for the RSC19.  I am so grateful that she continues to do this.  I know it is a lot of work in addition to her busy lifestyle.

    so nice to see more people doing all these red colors - I wish I had joined up a couple years ago so I could have used up more of my scraps this year - determined to control my stash this year!!

    The green background looks very nice. That crumb star is a favorite of mine. Are you going to make different colors for RSC19?

    So glad that you are pulling out those old blocks to get them finished up. They are going to look even better as part of finished quilts.

    Your block strips are just so cute! Love the alternating directions. Isn't it amazing how many ways you can use up little bits of fabric?

    Love the scrappy red blocks! Wouldn't those crumbs look fabulous as star centres? That/those quilts are going to be well worth the trouble.

    It's comforting to know others start projects and they sit and percolate for a year or three! I sure like your intense reds and all the RSC projects.
