I made one for each of my 4 coworkers with fabric chosen for their personal interests.
A little over 30 years ago, I started collecting fabric. I felt like I needed a good variety in order to make my quilts. About 10 years ago, I stopped collecting fabric. I determined that I needed to sew up my fabric before I could buy any more. I have only made a few exceptions since then, and I try to limit myself to buying only solids. You will be able to tell by my quilts that most of the fabric is now what is called "vintage."
Updates on Sewing Up My Fabric!
Since I originally posted my description of this blog, I have somewhat erred from my intention. I have actually bought much more fabric than I had but ................. in my defense, I got the solids at 50% off and the quilt shop fabric at 75% off, so that doesn't count, right? LOL

A Quilters' Garden Flower Block
This is my swap block. It wasn't too hard to make, but I definitely had to follow the directions closely.

Steam that Seam Swap Block for the Quilter's Garden
The picture of the swap block is to be posted by the last day of the month. I just made it under the wire! The quilt blocks are really looking nice. I am anxious to see the finish.

Barn Door QAL
Finally quilted and bound! The Barn Door QAL by Sarah Quilts.
I saw Angela Walters' video recently on FMQ so I thought I would practice on this quilt. The quilting is very dense, but you really can't see it. I did get some practice, but I also learned that I shouldn't put too much effort into quilting that won't be seen!
Rotaries in Bloom - Second block in the Quilters' Garden Mystery Row of the Month.
This is my swap block. A small washer belongs in the middle of the black circle. My husband thought he had one, but out of all of his washers, he didn't have one to fit this circle! I will have to make a trip to the hardware store.
I have all of the blocks made and I just need to applique all the rotary cutters on them. They are really looking nice all in a row.

Bright Sky QAL
This quilt by Blossom Hearts Quilts was so easy to put together. I just happened to have enough of a coordinating stripe floral to put a good sized border on it to make it queen size. I hope to make at least one more in a more modern color scheme. I am looking forward to quilting suggestions!

"Every Birdies Home Tweet Home" Block of the Month quilt top from Stroll the Block about 6 or 7 years ago. Finally got it quilted on my Innova sit-down model. This is only my 8th quilt that I have quilted on my new Innova. I used Angela Walters' hook and swirl pattern from one of her latest videos on her blog. Thank you Angela.
