Updates on Sewing Up My Fabric!

Since I originally posted my description of this blog, I have somewhat erred from my intention. I have actually bought much more fabric than I had but ................. in my defense, I got the solids at 50% off and the quilt shop fabric at 75% off, so that doesn't count, right? LOL

A big finish for 2015!

Do you remember PacMan?  When my son was somewhere between 8 and 11 years old, he wanted to make a PacMan quilt.  I gave him some double knit solid fabric and cut the black rectangles for him and he designed the ghost pattern, cut all of them out and hand appliqued almost half of them down and somehow life got in the way and he didn't finish.  Occasionally, he would ask me if I still had his PacMan Quilt.  While we were in the process of cleaning out the attic recently, he asked me again about his quilt.  I went through every box in the attic and low and behold, when I opened the last box, there was his PacMan Quilt neatly tucked away in a Ziploc baggie! I finished appliqueing the rest of the ghosts, added a PacMan and the eyeballs on the ghosts and quilted it for him for his 44th birthday!  He said when he saw those blue ghosts, it brought back memories of him appliqueing them down and how hard it was.  He did a good job!

Congratulations to both you and your son on making this quilt full of memories. Does he still sew?

Thank you. He doesn't have time for sewing. He owns a paint and body shop, but he is very appreciative of the quilts that I make.
