Updates on Sewing Up My Fabric!

Since I originally posted my description of this blog, I have somewhat erred from my intention. I have actually bought much more fabric than I had but ................. in my defense, I got the solids at 50% off and the quilt shop fabric at 75% off, so that doesn't count, right? LOL

February OMG - a few days late!

OMG February - almost!
It only took me a week to quilt it but I just couldn't get the binding finished in time!
This was a 2016 Saturday Sampler quilt from my LQS. The pattern is "Seeing Stars" by Tricia Cribs of Turning Twenty.
This is a large quilt.  Long anyway.  76" x 96"
I was determined to quilt the whole quilt from Angela Walters' Free Motion Quilting Challenge Week 2.  The entire quilt is quilted with meander or echoing.  I am really pleased with how it looked.  I learned a lot from this exercise.

Echoing
At first, I looked at these pinwheels and panicked not knowing how to quilt them.  Then I looked at them again and saw that they were in a square so I echoed the square!  I really like how it turned out.

The quilt is awesome. All your quilting is really good too. Excellent workmanship on a very attractive quilt.

It’s amazing how simple quilting designs can really MAKE a quilt. Great job! I love that you are following Angela Walters challenge too; she’s my hero.

Thank you Sandra. Angela is a very good teacher! Even though I have all of her books and Craftsy videos, I am still learning through this FMQ series.

Hi Pam,
Your quilt turned out great! I have been following along with Angela's FMQ Challenge, too. I've been trying to get more comfortable with FMQ and ruler as a goal for this year, so her challenge came along at the right time for me! ~smile~ Roseanne
