One Monthly Goal for June Ok, this is a 2014 Row x Row quilt designed by Deana named "Quilter's Garden". You can find the post by clicking here. My goal for June is to get this top completely assembled. This entire quilt is hand appliqued. I need to do a little more embellishing on some blocks and assemble the rows and make the borders. I really want to finish this quilt, but the little things I need to do to finish just seem to overwhelm me, so I won't even plan on getting it quilted this month! Please go to Elm Street Quilts to see what others have planned for this month! |
A little over 30 years ago, I started collecting fabric. I felt like I needed a good variety in order to make my quilts. About 10 years ago, I stopped collecting fabric. I determined that I needed to sew up my fabric before I could buy any more. I have only made a few exceptions since then, and I try to limit myself to buying only solids. You will be able to tell by my quilts that most of the fabric is now what is called "vintage."
Updates on Sewing Up My Fabric!
Since I originally posted my description of this blog, I have somewhat erred from my intention. I have actually bought much more fabric than I had but ................. in my defense, I got the solids at 50% off and the quilt shop fabric at 75% off, so that doesn't count, right? LOL

Hooray for you! It was fun for me to see this one pop up today. My top is done and has been since the quilt along, but I still need to quilt and bind it. I also have my mom's to quilt. They are on the list to finish this year.
Cute quilt! I love the tiny quilts hanging beteen trees! Oh yes, please, finish it, it's too cute!
Hi Pamela,
What a cute quilt this will grow up to be. This is quite an ambitious goal for June, but I am confident you can complete it. If quilting happens, that a big plus. I'll be happy to see it all together in four weeks!
Happy Saturday! ~smile~ Roseanne
Just love the look of this quilt. You've done such a spectacular job. I'm envious. Good luck on your goal this month.
Awesome quilt! Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and good luck on your project!
This is going to be so beautiful when it is finished.
Beautiful quilt. I hope you will make a lot of progress on it this month.
