Scrappy Rainbow Hearts I came across this pattern in January of 2015 when I first found Angela's RSC Group. I was so excited to find patterns that I could for each color of the month! Why did it take so long? Not sure. It was really easy to do! The link to the website for this free pattern can be found here.http://funthreads.blogspot.com/p/free-quilt-patterns.html |
The quilting was fun. |
Next up! |
Bottled Rainbow Quilt I believe I started this sometime in late 2011. I was so excited to start it but I don't think I had my fabric organized well enough to finish at the time. I did, however, make all of my framed blocks in the beginning, but just couldn't get around to doing the most fun part of putting those odd shapes on there. Another close-up of the quilting. |
Finally, the back. I probably should have put more thought into selecting my backing fabrics but it is growing on me. With hindsight, I do wish I would have appliqued the fabric pieces with straight line stitching instead of zigzag, but I don't think any of my children or grandchildren will care. LOL I have really been encourage by Angela's RSC group. Both Angela and everyone who links up to her group have such good ideas for using scraps. Congratulations on your finishes! I really love that rainbow of hearts and the quilting turned out wonderfully. Thanks for the link to the pattern, too!
they look so great - you did a really good job on those colors
Congrats! on TWO fabulous finishes. I absolutely LOVE them!!! Both.
I love the scrappy rainbow hearts. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that done before. The bottled scrappy ones turned out really well with the zigzag appliqué. They look like they’re framed. Congratulations on two good finishes
Love your quilts, especially the rainbow hearts. So pretty.
Beautiful scrappy quilts and the quilting is fabulous. Keep quilting, you get better with every quilt.
Those hearts are wonderful!
